Cookies, Pumpkins, and SNOW!

One Saturday morning in the middle of October we woke up to quite the surprise......SNOW! And not just a little bit of snow.....it was about 4 inches! The boys were SO excited. They wanted to put on their snow clothes right away and go out and play. Luckily it only lasted through the day and then it melted again. Snow is good for Christmas, but not for Halloween. I am not ready for the COLD Omaha winters yet!!

Owen posing in his snow clothes.
Kael....can you see his excitement??
Don't worry...that's just our neighbor playing on the table, he's not injured.

Aidan showing off his girly gloves.
A couple of days later we decided to paint pumpkins and decorate cookies for Halloween. We had a blast. The boys helped cut out the cookies and loved the frosting part. They also painted their pumpkins really cute. It was a fun night.
Owen staking claim on the cookie cutter.
Aidan is ready to eat the cookies.....forget the decorating part.

Kael loved helping roll out the dough

Helping daddy to cut out the cookies.

While the cookies were in the oven we painted the pumpkins.
Aidan was having a blast!!

Can you tell that Kael is a perfectionist???

Owen didn't know how he felt about the pumpkins.

We gave him some sticky foam letters to put on his.
He LOVES letters. He knows his alphabet and can spell his name, so he was in heaven.

Aidan being hilarious.

Kael decided to be funny too.

Aidan eating his cookie that he decorated. He has paint from his pumpkin all over his face.

Showing off his cookie.

Kael showing off his cookie too.

Halloween is a fun holiday, no matter where you live, as long as you can celebrate it with family and/or friends---then share the pictures on your blog!

It was so good to see your boys after the funeral. It made my day and melted my heart when Kael came running to me for a big hug. Aidan tolerated me and I'm sure Owen wondered, "who in the heck is she?"

I was running in Omaha that day! FREEZING!!

By the way, congrats. I never saw a post about you being prego, but noticed your little icon. Exciting!!

We still need to get together one of these days. We live so close to each other it would be a shame!

Mm I would've eaten all of that dough :) I'm glad you had supplies for your nerdy childs pumpkin decorating. You should've had animal stickers for Kael! :)
