It's About Time!!!

Well I guess I have been pretty lame at keeping up on the blogging lately. I guess you could say that we have had a pretty stressful couple of weeks. Not a lot has been going on as far as exciting outings though. We have been having our weekly BYU game parties, which are always fun. Tomorrow night we are having pizza and a party for the game. Poor Utah State....I feel like I am turning my back on them since they are Joseph's alumni school, but we can't not cheer for BYU. I will be cheering for Utah State to at least score! :)

Last Saturday as we were putting Owen to bed we noticed that he seemed warm. He had been a little bit fussy and we finally got him to go to sleep around midnight. At 3:00 am he was wide awake and screaming. He seemed hot now so we took his temperature and he had a fever of 103.7!! I don't think any of my kids have ever been that warm! I was pretty scared. We gave him some Motrin and it went down a little, and he went back to sleep. On Sunday morning I called the nurse on call (a great benefit of our pediatrician....thanks Kristin!!) and she told me to keep an eye on his fever and to keep giving him Motrin. We did that all day and even though he was warm he seemed to be feeling a lot better.....until it was time for bed! He was really warm again and he didn't go to sleep until midnight. We thought he would sleep and be okay, but at 3:00 he was wide awake and screaming again!! He never went back to sleep that night until Joseph was leaving for school at 7:30. I decided that I was taking him to see the doctor. I was thinking maybe he had an ear infection or tonsillitis, but no. He had hand, foot, and mouth!! It was awful!! He got a million sores in his mouth and didn't eat at all. He stopped taking a bottle and we had to feed him formula from a spoon for three days!! Monday night he only slept from 5:00am until 10:00am. We were like zombies! The problem....hand, foot, and mouth is VERY contagious! Kael and Aidan got it on Wednesday right as Owen was starting to feel better! They did a lot better with it, mostly they only complained a little of a sore throat. Owen also gave it to his two girlfriends Ruby and Lily that are twins his age. I think that it has made the rounds in the neighborhood though so I think we are okay!!

I was so glad when last week was over! We finally all made it to church and it was great. Kael got his first part for the primary program that is coming up in a few weeks. He is already excited to say it. His primary teacher called me after church and told me that she had to tell me how great he is to have in class. How they love the things that he comes up with. She told me that on Sunday they were learning about Nephi and Lehi. (this is a pretty long story, so I apologize, but this is my journal) She is an awesome teacher. She is so creative. She decided to set up a tent in a different classroom and they were going to trek through the wilderness to their new home. She brought them each a back pack and told them that they could only pick one item to bring with them to their new home. Kael said to Sister Cline "Um...excuse me, that is not the truth. My mom said that we get to bring all of our stuff when we move and if it doesn't fit then we will just get a bigger truck!!" He is telling the truth. I did say that when we moved to Omaha because he was having a complete break down when he thought that we were leaving all of his toys. She finally convinced him that they were only bringing one thing. He chose a little horse figurine. His reasoning..."when we move to our #4 house (which is when we move from Omaha) we get to get a dog. I think that our puppy will like this horse." So they packed their backpacks and started into the wilderness. As they walked into the hall Sister Cline said "Wow! Look at all of this wilderness!" Kael played right along saying "Yes! Look at that beautiful bald eagle in the corner!" (Yes he has quite the imagination!) They wandered through the wilderness and into the clerk's office where Sister Cline informed them that they were lost. Kael looked over at the computer and saw a screen saver with Jesus on it and said "Don't worry, we can just ask Jesus....he's right over there!" When they finally found their new tent Kael told them that they needed to take off their shoes so that they could keep their new home clean. When Sister Cline told them that they had forgotten their scriptures and that they were sending their two older brothers back to get them Kael said "Well you better tell them to get a lot of water too because I don't think we even brought any!" I guess he is always keeping everyone entertained! :)

This week has been rough also. Joseph has had 7 tests in 5 days. He has been really stressed and it rubs off on all of us. He told me today that this is the first week that he has hated dental school since he started last year. I think that is pretty impressive really! We are SO glad that it is Friday tomorrow! Also, he only has school for two days next week and then it's FALL BREAK!! YAY!!

Here are a bunch of pics from the last two weeks!!

This is how we found poor Aidan when we went to check on him before we went to bed. He was sound asleep!

Aidan enjoying some yogurt!
Just a cute picture.

In honor of the new season of The Office we attempted to turn Aidan into Jim Halpert. It worked pretty well. If you zoom in you can see his sweet wings!
My mom sent us her Halloween decorations that the boys love, because my mom and dad will be here with us for Halloween! They were so excited to get them and hang them on the window. Here is their attempt at showing them off!

Then Aidan decided the decorations wanted to fight each other.
Just a cool pic of Aidan looking at the decorations.

Kael was mad that I didn't hang them in a strait line. But they look good!

Aidan checking out the decor.
Just another cute pic. He starts school on Monday!
Playing on the neighbors slide.

Cute Kael.
Owen is starting young. Apparantly these last few weeks were stressful on him too! :)
Don't worry...it's not open!

Oh yah....and my baby can walk! :( Worst day ever!
How cute is he??
And so proud of himself.

Kael has been obsessed with taking pictures with our old camera. I finally downloaded the 200 pictures that he had taken and found some really cute ones. This one Joseph took of Kael and Aidan before church. As you can see the thought of it is making Aidan stressed.
Kael did an awesome job taking these two pics of Owen. It helps that Owen is so cute!! :)

Sorry this post was so long. I will try to keep up from now on. If you made it this far.....Wow!! You must really love us! :)

Oh man, Stephanie. That sounds like a really rough week! Having everyone sick is the worst! However, I don't know what hand, foot and mouth is. I will have to quick go and google it.

Glad everyone is feeling better. Thanks for checking up on my blog and leaving comments :)

Hope you are liking Omaha. My ex, sister-in-law and her husband LOVED it there.

Oh Steph, this was so sad. I just hate when babies and little ones are sick. I hope it is all over for you! I cannot believe Owen is walking. Sad. The story about Kael in primary was hilarious. I can totally hear him saying all that. How funny! Well I hope things get better and everyone is well for when your parents arrive!
