Rise and Shout the Cougars are out!!!

I just had to start off this post with a tribute to BYU and their football game yesterday! Wow! I have to admit that I was expecting the exact opposite outcome, not because I think that the team is bad, just because they usually play bad when it matters! We had a great time watching the game with some of the neighbors and laughing at all of UCLA's misfortunes. We can now claim that even though Joseph and I both went to Utah State we are true Cougar fans because this week we purchased DirecTV just so we can get the Mountain and watch all of the games! Joseph is really excited about it and so are a lot of the neighbor guys. It was an experience to get it though! The guy came to install it on the rainiest day in months. Since it was raining he kept taking off his shoes on the porch when he came in. I thought it was very considerate of him. Then there was the accident. When he was installing the satellite he had to run the wires through our basement window. He took out the window and apparantly thought that it would be a good idea to lay it on the floor in our family room. I don't know why he thought that would be a good place for it, but he did. He finally (three hours later) finished installing the satellite. He stepped backward off of the couch (in only his stocking feet remember) onto the window and shattered it. There was a lot of cussing that followed. I went to see what was wrong and found him with the shattered window. He wasn't bleeding that I could see and he didn't say anything (which may have just been out of pride) but he did have to take the window and get it fixed. That would be great if the problems ended there, but they don't! After school Joseph went to pick up the window and got a rock chip in the windsheild. He decided to get it fixed while he was there. It cost the DirectV man $9.00 to repair our window, but $25.00 to get a rock chip fixed!! Oh well. I guess BYU football is worth it! :)

Another exciting event this week was when Joseph got his wisdom teeth and two other teeth pulled on Friday at school. Yes at school, and yes by another student! (At least it was a 4th year student!) It has been an okay weekend I guess as long as he keeps taking his pain medicine. I know you are wondering why he has never gotten his wisdom teeth out until now. He didn't have any. Apparantly he grew these two wisdom teeth sometime last year. So they pulled those out for him. Then he had two baby teeth that had not fallen out and he didn't have permanent ones to replace them. They decided to pull those and do implants on them. The problem is that you have to wait a few months for everything to heal after you pull the teeth. So now instead of having holes in his mouth he gets to wear Invisiline with the empty spots colored to look like teeth. We hope he starts to feel better soon!

In other exciting news.....we caught two snakes. We only got pictures with one of them.

Kael loved him and wanted to keep him as a pet!
Kael and Sadie showing off the snake.
If you are feeling afraid of this snake just know that the other snake was about twice as long and three times bigger around. Yah...Kael didn't hold that one!

My three little monkeys in Owen's bed!
We also taught Aidan to sleep in a big bed!! Finally! He loves it. Our real reason for holding off so long was because if we put him in the crib he couldn't get out and we liked him to be contained for a while! Now he is just wild, but he and Kael love it. He is getting so old!! This also meant that Owen could move to his own room in his own bed. It was a little bit sad, but great because now everyone sleeps better!

Aidan pretending to be asleep and laughing!
Pretending to snore.
Hugging his elephant.

Also a shout out to my famous little brother. He was in the Deseret News and also on KSL.com. He and his friends decided to show their Aggie pride. I didn't know he had any, but I guess he must. The title under the picture called them "Diehard Aggie fans"!! I'm pretty sure that he would have rather had a Y painted on his stomach, but it looks like they had fun. (Bridget...I know that Brandon would have joined them. Maybe I will tell Nathan to call him next time!)

Nathan is the "S"

Snakes! I can't believe they are holding them and touching them. Yikes! Yay for the big boy bed Aiden! Go Cougars and Nathan makes a good Aggies "S"! Haha

I LOVE the picture with all three in the crib. The snake, however, I didn't love so much. I would scream if one of my boys ever caught one. You are much braver than me!

Thanks for adding the Aggies in there! I don't know if you could pay Brandon enough to do that.. especially with his lovely "Butt" (as I call it)scar on his stomach! :) Brandon was upset when he saw the title and said.. "come on.. they are aggies, aren't they?" :) lol!

Ouch! I hated having my wisdom teeth pulled. I was a big baby about it. Speaking of babies, I am having a baby shower on Saturday and you are invited of course. I know you probably won't be able to make it considering the whole out of state thing but I wanted to let you know you were on my invite list. Cute pics of the boys!
