Finally an update.

I know I have been a slacker with our blog lately. We have been having a pretty fun summer. Joseph has still been in school everyday. He is in the clinic working on patients in the morning and studying for the first part of boards in the afternoon. He is taking Part I of the boards tomorrow. I think we will all be glad when that's over!!!! Here are some pictures of some of the adventures that we have been having.....

At the Children's Museum. They have a whole Sesame Street exhibit right now.
The boys loved it!!
Kael showing his excitement!

Kael and Aidan getting the mail

Kael putting the blocks in the right order. I wanted him to mix them up, but he is a perfectionist so he wouldn't do it!

Owen running wild!!

Owen LOVES Elmo. He gets so excited when he sees him anywhere.
He was in heaven.

Kael and Owen chillin with Elmo.

The best picture we got of the three of them!!

Or maybe this one is better??

Aidan playing at the museum

Since we have lived here we have seen quite an abundance of random wild life. A lot of spiders and snakes, some frogs, a lot of deer, tons of birds, random rodents.....especially squirrels, and even some huge wild turkeys. All of those things are usually hanging around by our house. The other morning our neighbors were outside and found this guy making his way across the parking lot, so they "saved him" from the cars. I think by the end of the day the poor things wished he would have gotten run over!! He was a fun pet for a day until we let him go into the gardens.

Chilling in his laundry basket home

It was probably the best day of Kael's life.
He cried when we let the turtle go.

Kael, Carter, and Savannah with the turtle.

The turtle! I know it looks like Kael has a random rock in his hand but it is actually....

A random tiny little frog that he found and carried around on this rock for a while.

Owen has an obsession with shoes. He always has them on whether they are his or not. He actually gets pretty good at walking in them too. Here he is with some of my huge sandals on.

Aidan posing for a picture

Just hanging out. Kael put himself and Owen into the crib with just about everything he could find. There were all kinds of stuffed animals and clothes in there. He would have put Aidan in too, but he couldn't quite lift him.

So daddy helped him in.

I think he's getting too big!!

We had kind of a random 4th of July weekend. We had big plans to go swimming and to a big water park on Friday. It didn't quite work out though. It rained almost 2 inches. We took the boys to the mall in West Omaha. They have a fun indoor arcade that you can earn tickets at. We had lots of fun and then we had an indoor BBQ that night with the Smith's and the Clarks. I guess I didn't take any pictures though. The next day on the 4th we were going to try for swimming again, but it was still rainy and pretty cold. We went to a BBQ with some friends at the park. It was really fun, but again I didn't take any pictures. We were too busy getting some video of everything. That night we were all ready to do some fireworks and then go and watch the fireworks at the stadium. We had some fun fireworks but on by the pyros Joseph and Jon. Here are some pics of the kids with their sparklers.

But first it was our neighbor's birthday. He had a pirate party on the afternoon of the 4th. Here are Kael and Aidan during the party.

Now some firework pictures......

Kael nervously doing a sparkler

Rylee with her sparkler

Kael is still not too sure about the sparkler

And this is where Owen stayed the entire night. He was terrified of anything that made noise or blew up. Maybe he will like them next year!!
After our little firework show (and after Jon accidentally sat in a plate full of red, white, and blue jello) we were about to head down to the stadium when it was again a downpour. :( We didn't even get to see the great firework show. Oh well.....maybe next year!!
