My Poor Broken Boys!

Well we had quite the weekend at our house! On Friday night we were just getting ready to leave our house and take the boys to dinner when Kael decided to throw one of his famous fits. This has only started happening in the last few months, but WOW he is good at them. He was really angry and he jumped in the air and threw himself down on the ground. The problem was that he landed right on his shoulder. As soon as he hit the ground he rolled into a ball and started to scream. At first we thought that it was just part of the fit, but then realized it was screams of pain. We picked him up and that made it worse. So we took a trip to the ER. They x-rayed his arm....which he told me later that they took a picture of him but he didn't like it because they made him look like an x-ray fish....and told us that his collar bone is broken. He gets to wear a brace for the next 6 weeks!! YIPEE!! I was pretty stressed about that, but don't worry, the weekend got worse! We went to Brigham for the weekend to visit. Joseph and his brother Jake took the 3 year olds (Kael and Darant) on a walk on Sunday. They just "accidentally" took some softball stuff. Joseph was pitching to Jake and Jake hit a beautiful line drive into Joseph's shin. He couldn't walk home so Jake had to pull him in the kid's wagon and make Kael and Darant walk. Darant kept saying "Daddy, we are tired too...we want to ride...make Uncle Joey get out!" I wish I could have seen that part! :) Anyway....we made another trip to the ER and found out that he bruised his shin bone and it is swelling between two bones. Basically they told him that it is going to hurt like he broke his leg, but that the bones aren't broken. So he has crutches now. He won't let me take his picture though. Today was his first attempt at school on crutches so we will see how it went when he gets home! Now...hopefully I can keep this baby in a little bit longer so I don't add to the fun! :)

Kael's awesome brace from the back view.

Kael actually smiling with his brace on. Joseph told him he looks tough!

Flexing for the camera. Joseph thought it was funny that he looks like he has football pads on with his wife beater.

Steph, This is alyssa, bridgets sister. I'm so sorry about yoru little boy. He does look pretty tough in his brace. My little boy jumped off the couch and broke his ankle but they didn't cast it. I can't imagine how it must be to have a little guy in a brace like that. Good luck.

A broken 3 year old, a broken husband, a 2 year old, and your ready to have baby #3 self! You deserve a medal! I wish you all the best!(hugs):)
