We have had a pretty busy and fun week around here. Joseph took his first test of the fall semester and said he feels like he did well. He also had a quiz and a practical (where they actually have to go in the lab and drill teeth and pass it off). I know he did well on the quiz and hope the practical was the same! He also has a big test on Tuesday. I don't think that this is fair at all!! They give you a three day weekend and then plan a test for the morning you get back! I guess that is just how it goes though!
The most major event of our week was......
Kael started Pre-K!!!
He loves it! He was not too excited about it on the first day. I took him to school and he made me stay until his friend Jantsen got there. He was fine after that and asks me every morning if it is time to go to school yet. He gets to go everyday for three hours! It's crazy to be back down to two kids for those three hours! I thought I would love having a little time-and I do- but I really miss him too! He comes home so excited and ready to tell me all about the songs they sang, the stories they read, what they had for snack, and also what color of ball he gets to play with in gym. Apparantly, if you are quiet and listen to the teacher when she says "zero talking" you get to have a ball in gym time. Unfortunately Kael tries to implement this at our house by suddenly yelling "zero talking" in the middle of me giving him a lecture and then if I don't stop talking I am informed that when we have gym time I am NOT going to get a ball. :) I think I am in trouble!! Here are his first day of school pictures....
He is SO old and handsome! He wanted to wear a Pokemon t-shirt to school on the first day. YAH RIGHT!! No child of mine is going to wear a Pokemon t-shirt on the first day! My child is NOT going to be the Pokemon kid! I was a terrible mother and took it out of the closet and threw it in the hamper and told him it was dirty and that we could wear it next week. I figured it was worth it for me to wash it when it was clean if I could get him to wear something else! I gave him a selection of three other shirts and he chose this blue one. Much better!! :)
This is what I got when I told him to do a pose for me!!??!!
And this was his next pose!
Not really what I had in mind, but showing off his talents I guess!
CHEESE!
OWEN KEEPS GROWING UP!
Owen is doing new and crazy things everyday and I can't get him to stop! I don't want him to stop being a baby yet, but he is WAY beyond being a baby. Here are a couple of things that he has decided he can do this week.....
Remember Aidan's birthday bike?? Well apparantely it doubles as a push toy! Owen spent forever pushing this around our living room!
He was so excited that he had figured out how to get it to move!
BEWARE! THIS IS DISGUSTING!!
We were in the living room and Owen crawled into the kitchen and then got really quiet. When we walked into the kitchen we found him with a leftover piece of pizza that he had stolen out of the garbage can!! He was so happy and was just eating away! Funny how a few days ago when I tried to feed him something from the table he gagged and acted like he didn't know how to chew!
DANG! I've been caught!
When he realized that we had caught him he just started stuffing the pizza in as fast as he could with both fists! He was SO mad when we took it away from him!
FEEDING THE DUCKS!
We took the boys to Heartland of America Park or ConAgra Park. I'm not sure which one it was or what the difference is! We left them feed the ducks and they loved it!
The ducks started out clear across the pond, but as soon as they saw that we had bread they swam right over!
The fountains in the middle of the pond.
Helping Aidan feed the ducks. Notice my death grip on him??!! I had horrible visions of him falling in the water the whole time we were there!
Feeding the ducks with some of downtown Omaha in the background.
Trying to get Aidan to throw the bread instead of eating it!

your little guy is getting so big. I can't believe Kael is in Pre-K. That's awesome! How are you enjoying Nebraska, anyway?
I love kaels posses...I just laughed:) And i would have done the same thing with the pokemon shirt, I am such a mean mom, I tell Braxton those kind of shirts are night time shirts :) And your baby is so big, I find gun eating out of the garbage all the time...Can't imagine it tastes good but whatever LOL
oh my little boyfried is SO good looking! :) I can't wait to come and see you! I'm glad you thought up a good plan to not let him be able to wear the pokemon shirt...he definitely would've been the nerdy kid! Maybe you should just give Owen a dish on the floor like a dog and he'll eat :) see you in 46 days!!!
I'm so glad Kael is liking Pre-K! It's strange to only have 2 at home huh? Cute pictures of feeding the ducks.
Wow, Kael is in pre-school, that is exciting! Time fly's. I laughed at the Pokemon shirt. Today I told Tayton he could wear anything he wanted and he chose socks and sandals. It was great, but he was so proud of himself. Luckily we only had to go to the library.
Kael is so grown up! He was definitly looking handsome in his blue shirt ;) It looks like you are all enjoying your new surroundings, and doing some fun things. Owen is so cute too, I had to laugh at his dumpster diving. Too funny!
That is so funny. My kids beg for Dora shoes and Transformers shoes and I tell them I'm not that good of a mom. Isn't that horrible? I just can't bring myself to do it. Ok, and Owen eating out of the garbage is hilarious.
You guys are always having such fun! I can't believe how big our babies are getting - how does this happen so fast?! I also laughed at the Pokemon shirt story. I'm glad I'm not the only one who bans the tacky character clothing. :)
What cute pictures! That park looks so pretty! You guys are BUSY! Love all the wedding pictures too! Is that the last johnson boy? I can't get over how many of them there are! Such a cute fam you have!
