It's A Jungle In Here!

We had a jungle party for Kael's birthday party. It was a blast! I had a fun (and stressful) time planning for it, but it turned out great. We had safari hats, safari animals, an alpaca pinata, and some fun jungle animal cupcakes. We had a lot of kids that came and we had a ton of fun, but I am SO glad that it's over!! :)

Aidan and Kael posing with their hats before the party
Being wacky

Some of the decorations. And me and Owen.

The creepiest pinata ever. It's an alpaca, and it's scary, and it was as tall as Owen.

Kael and Owen in their safari hats

Some of the party guests coloring animal masks
Still working on their masks

Modeling thier masks. Kael is the monkey!

Kael and Zoey posing with some of the animals

Lily and Ruby in their safari hats

Owen the explorer and Rylee the cute monkey

My cute little monkey

Trying to hold the pinata while the kids hit it.
(We didn't have anything to hang it from)

Aidan trying to wear one of the pinatas legs

Kael taking his turn at the pinata

And of course posing with the bat

The pile of kids trying to get some candy

Still trying to get candy

Kael showing off his candy

Owen was happy with this sucker

This is what Aidan looked like for most of the party.
He wasn't a big fan of Kael having a birthday.

Ending with a rousing game of Duck Duck Goose

One of Kael's presents from his friends was a balloon animal making kit.
This is his armadillo that Joseph made him.
If he doesn't make it as a dentist, we know he can make it as a clown. :)

I'm glad we got to help start the creepy pinata tradition in VG. I hope it lives on a long time. They're hilarious, huh? Fun to see your blog updates! :)

Wow, when you decide to update you really update! Glad Kael had a wonderful birthday. I'm still mad we didn't get together at Christmas. Can't wait to see that baby girl! How are you doing?
