I'm not sure what I signed up for when I agreed to be the mom of three boys, but so far it has been an adventure. We went to Brigham on Tuesday night to celebrate my mom's birthday with her. We had a fun night planned out and we were excited. We got take out from Maddox and we had just finished it and were cleaning up when tragedy struck. Kael was running and Aidan was chasing him. They do this all of the time and they love it. I hate it when they do it because they are both really clumsy and I always nag them and tell them that someone is going to get hurt. Well, it happened. Aidan tripped and smacked his lip on a bucket of blocks. He started to cry and when I turned to look at him, his mouth and chin were covered with blood. I was always worried that if I ever saw one of my children bleeding I would have a breakdown, but honestly I remember taking a deep breath and thinking "Here we go again." We had to take him to the ER and after waiting for three and a half hours (apparantly a lot of people in Brigham are accident prone) we got back to Grandma Sid's party with four stitches in Aidan's top lip. The poor guy was so tough. He is so little though that they had to sedate him to sew up his lip so he wouldn't wiggle. Scars make you look tough right??

I guess that's an idea of what I'm in for, huh? The poor thing! That looks so sore. I'm glad he was tough about it - especially since you had to wait at the hospital for so long.
That makes me sad. Isn't it funny how when things like that happen you just suck it up and handle it. I always worry about how I will handle things like that, but I guess when you have to handle it, you just do. Cute boy though, even with a split lip.
