Here are a few pictures that don't really go with anything in particular, but were cute nonetheless. (is that one word??) Anyway.....We had a very eventful weekend! Joseph got done with school on Wednesday at 11:00!!! YAY!! That meant that he had the entire weekend off! 4.5 days to do whatever we wanted! It was very exciting.
On Wednesday we went with the Egberts and the Smiths to a little kid's swimming pool. It was really cool. It is only two feet deep in the deepest part and the kids just got to run wild. They loved it! Even Owen sat in the water for a few minutes. We didn't take the camera with us because I didn't want to risk having someone take my picture in my swimming suit! The kids were worn out by the time we got home! Later that evening we went to the Olive Garden with the Petersons to celebrate Joseph getting a great grade on his Infection Control Final! He is doing so awesome in school and loving it! We are so proud of him!
Thursday we slept in! Hallelujah! It was excellent! Then we loaded up and went to Home Depot to get some paint to paint Owen's pink bedroom a more manly shade of blue. We also got some light green to paint our bedroom a more....hmmm...relaxing shade of green??!! I don't know, but it's pretty! So far we have Owen's whole bedroom taped and one coat of primer on the walls. Joseph is so ambitious and hates sitting around doing nothing, so this has given him something to do while the kids take their naps.
On Thursday afternoon we ventured out with the Hills to try and see Wall-E again. If you can't remember what happened last time we tried to see this, refer to the post about the terrible storm that hit Omaha. We got all settled and everything was going great. As soon as we got to the same part that we had made it to last time Aidan started to freak out. He was NOT going to sit in that movie theater anymore. Needless to say Aidan and I missed the whole rest of the movie again. Oh well. Everyone that saw the rest loved it. While we were out in the lobby we were walking around trying to entertain ourselves when we saw a life size cardboard cut out of the High School Musical cast. Aidan took off towards it and was excitedly pointing at it. I picked him up and he pointed at Zac Efron with a HUGE smile and said "NAY NAY!". He thought it was my little brother. Then he pointed to Vanessa Hudgens (sp?) and said proudly "Book!" which in Aidan language means "Brooke" his new aunt. He was so excited. It was hilarious. I haven't told Brooke that story yet, but Nathan was pretty proud that Aidan compared him to someone so incredibly good looking. :) Thursday night we went out with the Egberts, Massons, Larsons, Bosses, and Devin Matsumori (his wife was out of town) to a Greek restaurant. It was great and we had a great time.
Friday was the 4th of July. It is it's own seperate post because we did a million things and took a million pictures.
Yesterday we hung out around the house. I made my first ever lasagne which we are going to eat later today. It will be interesting. I am a little nervous for two reasons....1- It will be poison and we will all get sick and have to go to McDonald's on the Sabbath, or the other alternative 2- Joseph will really really like it and I will have to start cooking. I am not sure which one would be worse! :) I will let you know how it turns out! Joseph spent all afternoon making a magnet board for the play room. It is AWESOME! He made it out of tin and some molding and painted it blue for them. They love it!

Kael with our neighbor Sadie. They were getting cozy on the salvaged swing. The tape on his head is supposed to be his eyebrows and the one in his hands was his mustache. I don't know.

Cute magnet board! Joseph, stellar job!! Those pictures of Kael and Sadie are way cute. Are they married yet?
Just heard John is engaged and you'll be here for the wedding! Super. See you soon at the Lake.
um it kind of looks to me like you are letting kael replace me with a new girlfriend. You can't let that happen!! Also Aidy looks so cute!! I love his curls!
