Christmas Break Day 2

Here we are. Day 2 of our Christmas Break.  We are still having a good time, and so far we have kept the fighting to the fake kind.....playing Smash Brothers.  We started out the day having "great big cupcakes" for breakfast.  Really they were huge muffins from Sam's Club, but Kael doesn't like muffins.  He does like cupcakes though.  So we had great big cupcakes for breakfast.  Then we traveled out to Papillion to take Aidan to speech therapy, and we went grocery shopping.  Fun for Aidan.....not so much fun for us.  Kael spent most of our time in the store pointing EVERY alchoholic beverage in the store to us in a voice that could be heard for miles around.  For those of you that only shop in Utah this may not seem like such a problem.  Just avoid the isle with the beer right?? Not so in Nebraska.  Especially at Christmas time.  It seems that our grocery store was WELL stocked for any kind of activity in which you would choose to use alchohol.  And don't you worry.....he was also very willing to point out the people that were also buying said alchohol.  After we left the grocery store and had a talk about how "just because we don't drink alchohol we don't need to make a big deal if other people are buying it" Kael informed us that he knew all about alchohol and drugs.  Drugs like the ones that you put up your nose with a straw.  Those kinds of drugs.  I was concerned about this.....my first grader knowing about cocaine.....but he informed me that they learned about it at school in "Guidance".  Wonderful.  We then had to spend 20 minutes convincing him that it was okay that the nurse at the doctor had squirted his flu shot up his nose, and that it wasn't bad drugs.  Sometimes I miss the sheltered elementary school life that I lived. Anyway, continuing on with the day........
We ate some great food and cheered for BYU.
Go Cougars! Way to win the first bowl game of the season!
We watched it with our friends and fellow BYU fans, The Graffs. They are staying here for Christmas also, because Anne is due on the 27th with their first baby.  They are great and let our kids climb all over them and talk their ears off for most of the game.
Olivia has learned what the camera is.  When I point it in her direction I get this huge smile and a screech of joy. Somebody is a show off.
Joseph found gourmet kinds of Tillamook cheese at the grocery store today.
I know it made his day, and it may have made his entire holiday season.
He was excited.
Kael, who is currently not the biggest fan of football (he usually calls it basketball), spent the afternoon playing dinosaur cards.
While these two lunatics were spys.
Meet Spy Duck and Spy Sheep.
(I guess they are from Word World)
And Olivia not only looked good, but proved that she definitely is our child by showing us that her tonsils are just as big as her brother's are.
And then she looked cute some more.
And then she proved that she might be our child that is the MOST interested in sports.
After the game we had spaghetti for dinner.  I am pretty sure that Aidan liked it.

And Olivia just looked really cute again.

Your kids are growing up so fast! I love how cute Olivia is. As for your other post, I still can't convince Darl that he's old, even if he's a high priest. Maybe it's because I'm older than he is :) I think it's funny that your boy wasn't excited about his Christmas pajamas. Kayden only want pajamas for Christmas! I hope you enjoy your holiday in Nebraska.
