Day 4....CoCo Keys!!

When I woke up this morning I had an instant feeling of panic and dread.  First, I had no idea what time it was, and I couldn't figure out why no alarm had gone off.  I started to think of all of the terrible scenarios that were going to be the result of trying to get the boys to school on time since I was sure that I had slept in. Then I thought...."Wait! The kids don't have school!" But I could not for the life of me come up with the reason why.  I decided that it must be Sunday, and that's when the dread set in.  Sunday is not my best day. But it finally hit me that I had gotten to sleep in because it was Christmas Break! Yay!!

So we started out at speech again today.  Only this time while Aidan was at speech we were on a mission.  A mission to find a swimming suit for Olivia in the dead of winter, in Nebraska.  This was not an easy mission.  The main problem being that it's cold here and NO ONE in their right mind would go swimming.  But as you can tell from reading this blog.....we are not in our right minds most of the time.  We were going swimming and Olivia needed a swimming suit.  Now, I knew right where they had one for her.  Gymboree.  But my dear husband Joseph did not want to go to Gymboree.  He has a deep seeded hatred towards that store.  Maybe because he thinks that all of the boy clothes in there are extremely feminine, or maybe because the closest one to our house was half an hour away....in the opposite direction of speech, or maybe it's because since Olivia was born I have spent an unneccessary (in his eyes) amount of our loan money there. Anywho....he was determined to look at every other possible store for a swimming suit.  Well, to make the story short, we looked at all of the stores around speech therapy and not one of them had a swimming suit.  Instead, we ended up at PetSmart looking at all of the random pets.  After half an hour we left with Kael crying because he couldn't get a chameleon, or more fish, or a bird, or a gerbil, or a bearded dragon....and Owen crying because the cat that chased him back and forth in the window for 20 minutes was his best and he NEEDED it to come to his home.  We are apparantly terrible parents.

After we picked Aidan up from speech we made the terribly long and WAY out of the way (in Joseph's words) trek to Gymboree.  Unfortunately they did not have the swimming suit that I had seen online that I really wanted to get her, but they did have another WAY cute one.  So don't worry.....I will be using my 20% off coupon to get her the one online at a later date.....probably tomorrow.  But we got her a swimming suit and all was right with the world again.

Then we headed to the happiest place on earth.....well Omaha wise, if you don't count the Zoo or Burger Star.  A new visitor attraction for those of you who are desperately waiting for a chance to come and visit us.  COCO KEYS!!!  It was a blast!! We went with the Egbert's, although I managed to not take one picture of any of them.  I don't know how that happened, but they were there and we had fun.

Aidan, Kael, and Joseph in the lazy river.  Not sure who the most excited person in this picture is.
Owen chilling in the kiddy pool.  Yes, I think his hair is getting curly like Nathan and Grandfather J.
And yes, I think he is a clone of Uncle Kees....hopefully not an evil one though.
Livi started out the adventure like this.....don't worry, it didn't last long.
For some reason Owen thought he was sunbathing.  Coco Keys is indoors.  Maybe because they keep the temperature 85 degrees in there!
 Handsome Devil
Daddy and Livi in her brand new giraffe swimming suit. The pictures don't do it justice....it has bum ruffles.
Aidan and Joey playing in the pool.
Aidan and Joey hanging out with Livi in the pool.
And then Kael wanted to be in the picture.  If you think this is a weird picture of Kael just wait for it.  There is a whole montage of weird pictures of Kael coming up.
 Livi LOVING the water!
 Smiling at Daddy
Aidan loved that life jacket and wouldn't take it off.  He also loved these fountains.  He was doing Kung Fu on them and yelling "TAKE THAT" at them.
And then he yelled "I WILL SIT ON YOU!!!" and kept trying to sit on this fountain.  It was pretty funny.
And now here we are with a montage of Kael and his many random poses. He just kept yelling "Mom! Take a picture of me now!"
Oh Yah! SUCKA!!! I'm goin' down the slide!!
A normal swimming one that I happened to snap before he could pose.
"Oh Yah.  Look at me Ladies!! I'm at the pool in my killer life jacket!"
"Make that my killer life jacket that gives me a Perma-Wedgie.  But I'm still doing A Ninja move at the top of the slide!!"
"Yah, watch me!  I'm workin' it on the slide now! If I'm not careful one of my legs is going to get stuck in the slide and I will pull my groin and rip my leg out of the joint, but at least I will look good while I'm doing it"
And finally "X marks the spot of coolness. And I am cool. Oh yah, I'm still on the slide"
He is so much fun to watch and listen to.  He really does say "Oh yah!" a lot while he is pulling off these random poses.  He also does a lot of his own theme music. I would like to blame all of this on Joseph, however, I have seen the old home movies of myself.  My only hope is that I got a little more shy and turned out pretty normal.

On the way home we got happy meals from McDonalds.  The toys were BAKUGAN!!  Like Kael said....This is pretty much the BEST day so far.
