So yesterday I turned 26. I wasn't very happy about being officially closer to 30 instead of 20, but what can you do?? Joseph had school so the first part of my day was pretty much the same as every day....just hanging out with my boys. Kael sang "Happy Birthday" to me about 100 times and also "Spider Pig". When Joseph got home we went out to dinner with a whole bunch of people that we have gotten to be friends with. We went to a pizza place called Old Chicago to eat. The food was great, but they hated us because we had 18 adults and 10 kids in our group. We called and asked if we needed to make a reservation and they said no, so I guess that is what they get??!! :) Then we all came back to our house to have cake and ice cream. Here are some pictures of some of our great new friends.....
No matter what I do to this picture of the cake it won't turn, so here is my sideways birthday cake. Walmart did a good job, but not as good as Banoose (my grandma)

These are a couple of pictures of Kael's eye injury. He hit it on the back of a chair at the restaurant and split his eyelid open. It was bleeding like crazy and I thought we were going to spend my birthday in the ER. Luckily it wasn't as bad as it looked!!! He is pretty proud of his black eye though!
Thanks to everyone that came to the party and also to everyone that called me, e-mailed me, texted me or sent me something for my birthday. It turned out great!!

Wow nice updates! I'm glad you had a good bday with all your posse...i dunno if thats how you spell that. I'm jealous of your corn...i wish i could eat corn on the cob with such ease! Kael looks pretty sweet on his new ride...i'm sure the black eye adds a nice flare. First of all, you have made more friends living there for a couple weeks than I've made in four years at my house! (I admit, I've always been a little antisocial.) Second, happy birthday! And third, could your boys be any cuter?! I'm glad Nebraska has turned out to be so fun for you guys.

Hey! Happy Belated Birthday! Sorry I missed it. Darin and I were on a vacation to the Cayman Islands for an insurance convention. I just got off the phone with Banjo where she told me about your blog. I didn't even know you had one! It's great to see your pics. It looks like things are going well. But I do miss you! Some not so great things have been going on this past week, some of which you probably know. I've been meaning to call, but honestly by the time my day winds down, it's 11:00 your time so I put it off til tomorrow. But I will call soon! Love ya!
Happy Birthday! That's great that you have settled in and made new friends already! Ouch, that black eye looks painful. I'm glad it didn't require any stitches. When I first saw the pic of the Oscar weiner I thought I might see your boys on a comercial singing the famous tune!
Happy (very late) Birthday! Truthfully I thought about it being your b-day the week before and forgot all about it when it actually was your b-day. Sorry! It looks like you guys are just fitting right in and loving it there! Yummy corn, parties, friends, a new bike, etc. What fun! Hope you are happy!
